| Review (Summary): "The Sony W300 seems less responsive than some other cameras we have tested, in fact it is quite slow at times. Start up time is alright but especially when changing image settings or using the menu functions, there appears to be a longer wait than usual, before the menu is shown or the camera reacts. ...
... The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 is bound to be attractive to a broad range of consumers. It can be used by the novice who requires a fully automatic camera, while more experienced users will appreciate the options of manual control over exposure and other settings. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "My first thought when I read about the W300 was – Good grief – 13.6 Megapixels from a 1/1.7" sensor on a body the size of a tin of Altoids. Will the madness never end? But then, after just a few hours of shooting with the W300 my thoughts were – How come nobody is talking about how astonishingly good this little camera is? Image quality is really fine up to ISO 400 on Super A3 sized prints, or even larger. Quite remarkable.
... I'd suggest that if a shirt-pocket sized camera is on your shopping list, the Sony W300 needs to be considered as a serious contender. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 features a 13.6-megapixel 1/1.7-inch CCD image sensor which is coupled to a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar-branded 3x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD display. ...
... it also improves image quality significantly. Sony has long been noted for giving away detail at high ISO settings to maintain color. But the W300 hangs onto the detail and shows very little noise at ISO 400. It does remarkably well at ISO 3,200 as well, though. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "It wasn't too long ago I marveled at the fact image resolution hit 4000 x 3000 pixels (12MP) - which is now pretty common. With its 13.6-megapixel sensor, the –W300 captures 4224 x 3168 pixels. And point-and-shoots won't stop here since we've learned 14+MP digicams will arrive in the Fall. In case you're wondering what you can possibly do with all these pixels think 13x19 prints and the ability to really crop your images and still get a good-sized print. ...
... As a go-everywhere point-and-shoot digicam, I have no problems recommending the DSC-W300. You get plenty of pixels, very fast response, optical image stabilization and quick focusing in good light. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "The W300 is a new 13.6 megapixel model with a scratch-resistant titanium coating, 3x optical zoom lens equivalent to 35-105mm, and a large 2.7 inch LCD screen. There's also a traditional and increasingly rare optical viewfinder, Smile Shutter and Face Detection technologies, Super Steady Shot image stabilizer to reduce camera shake, HD Output to you high-def TV set, and Intelligent Scene Recognition which automatically selects the correct shooting mode depending on the subject. ...
... Unfortunately though, while images appear fine when viewed in isolation, anyone who has handled a wide variety of digital compacts as us reviewers are privileged to do will discover that image quality is perhaps the least impressive aspect of the W300. ... |
